| Agreement was signed with FSUE Atomflot about service maintenance of the nuclear icebreakers control systems |

On June 9th, 2009, the Concern Avrora Scientific and Production Association JSC and FSUE Atomflot signed an agreement about service maintenance of the technical facilities control systems (TFCS) of the nuclear icebreaker fleet.
In accordance with the signed agreement, the Concern Avrora Scientific and Production Association JSC is the main executor of works with regard to organization and performing of service maintenance including development and supply of repair documentation, support of exploitation and technical supervision, repair, modernization, as well as supplies of component parts and SPTA for the TFCS of nuclear-powered ships and nuclear propulsion plants.
In accordance with the conditions of the agreement, the specialists of the concern will also establish the specialized area on the basis of the FSUE Atomflot equipped with the required technological fitment and tools.
The developed and proven technologies of organization of proprietary maintenance implemented by the Concern Avrora Scientific and Production Association JSC will make it possible to ensure the specified service life of the devices and systems of the nomenclature of the Concern and to modernize the existing facilities, if required, as well as to improve effectiveness, reliability and safety of the nuclear icebreakers being currently in service.

FSUE Atomflot is the only Russian enterprise which ensures exploitation, repair and maintenance of nuclear icebreakers and auxiliary fleet ships. FSUE Atomflot is responsible for all ships of the nuclear icebreaker fleet (Arktika, Sibir, Rossiya, Taimyr, Sovetsky Soyuz, Vaigach, Yamal, 50 Let Pobedy, Sevmorput). According to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, The FSUE Atomflot is included in the list of enterprises, in relation to which the State Corporation Rosatom holds the authorities of the property owner on behalf of the Russian Federation.
The FSUE Atomflot and the Concern Avrora Scientific and Production Association JSC have the experience of the long-term cooperation - starting with the 1970-ies (Avrora Scientific and Production Association ensured the development of the automation systems of the nuclear propulsion plants for the second-generation nuclear icebreaker Arktika), the enterprises have been cooperating in the sphere of constructing all civil nuclear-powered ships.
