Avrora Scientific and Production Association JSC is a leading enterprise of the industry in development and supply of automated control systems for surface ships (ACS SS).
The new generation Avrora ACS SS is a microprocessor-based distributed (decentralized) network control system that comprises, as a rule, an integrated bridge system (IBS), general ship data exchange system (GSDES) and integrated hardware control system (IHCS):
Each of the mentioned groups of functions is implemented by a set of devices that form a hardware control system (CS), data exchange system, information support system and uninterrupted power supply system.
A set of CS, as well as data exchange system, information support system and uninterrupted power supply system form an IHCS of a surface ship.
The equipment base of the functional complex control systems is formed by the microprocessor hardware, multi-functional display facilities of LCD type, panel stations, various display and commands entering facilities that are located on the console.
Each functional complex control system (MPP, EPS, GSS, MCS, DES) comprises a multifunctional control console.

Integration of the CS into the IHCS is performed by connection of CC, LST and LCS into the quick-response duplicated and redundant data exchange system of the Ethernet-type data transmission network.
The consoles of all the control systems are of the unified design and they constitute two console sections that are located on the same foundation and duplicate and backup each other both in the functional and in the hardware respect.
Each section may contain two liquid-crystal monitors or two panel stations, or a liquid-crystal monitor and a panel station, as well as a keyboard, a manipulator, processor modules and communication modules for providing transmission (reception) of commands (information) via the IHCS data exchange system.
The local control systems and the local technological stations are also made on the basis of the unified basic structures that ensure accommodation of carcass crates with a trunk line (VME-bus), a power source, a ventilation system, processor modules and information input/output modules.
